Ram is a Company Secretary and Law Graduate with over 25 years of combined corporate and consulting experience. He currently practices as an independent consultant providing comprehensive Secretarial, Legal, M&A and Compliance advisory services to corporates across diverse industries. He is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Prior to establishing his consulting practice in June 2023, Ram spent 22½ years in senior roles with reputed Indian corporates in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, including CavinKare Private Limited (FMCG), Tube Investments of India Limited (Automobile – Murugappa Group), Orchid Pharma Limited (Pharmaceuticals) and TVS Automobile Solutions Private Limited (Automobile Aftermarket – TVS Mobility Group).

Ram’s experience spans the full spectrum of corporate secretarial practice, including conducting Board and Shareholder Meetings, managing statutory and event-based compliances, ESOP implementation and administration, corporate governance frameworks, and oversight of the entire legal function. His legal expertise includes drafting and vetting commercial contracts, managing IPR portfolios, litigation management, regulatory liaison, and establishing group-wide compliance systems.

He was part of a core team that designed and implemented a comprehensive statutory compliance manual covering 40+ legislations across a multi-company group—significantly strengthening audit discipline and governance processes.

Mergers, Joint Ventures & Acquisitions
At TVS Automobile Solutions, Ram successfully concluded more than 25+ strategic transactions, including 15 acquisitions/JVs (with 4 international joint ventures) and 6 major fund-raise transactions involving domestic and foreign investors. As Group Company Secretary & Head – Legal, he worked closely with Boards, investors and strategic partners, overseeing deal structuring, due diligence, transaction documentation, regulatory approvals and post-acquisition integration.
At Orchid Pharma, he headed International Contracts, managed high-stakes Paragraph IV patent litigation, and played a key role in a multi-million-dollar business transfer of a manufacturing facility to a US-based multinational pharmaceutical company.

Startup Advisory
Ram actively advises early-stage and growth-stage startups on legal, secretarial and compliance matters, helping founders establish strong governance and investor-ready frameworks. His work includes entity formation, shareholder agreements, ESOP design and implementation, funding and investment documentation, cap table management, RBI/FDI compliance and due diligence preparation. He regularly supports founders during angel, seed and Series-level funding rounds, ensuring compliant, future-proof structures that enable scalable growth.
