Peter Groves has over 40 years’ commercial legal experience, as a practising solicitor, in-house legal adviser, lecturer, trainer, published author, blogger and podcaster. His practice has always comprised mostly non-contentious intellectual property work, along with IT contracts, data protection, competition law and IP litigation, and he has considerable experience of assisting in due diligence exercises including a Formula One motor racing team and a Premier League football club.
A graduate of Warwick University (LLB, 1977), he has also been awarded an MA in business law (City Poly, 1982, part-time) and a PhD (also City Poly, 1991, also part-time) for a thesis entitled Law and Competition in the Motor Industry. Among his books is A Dictionary of Intellectual Property Law (Edward Elgar, 2011).
